ORI · apartment-style hotels

Room to live in, not a box to sleep in.

Apartment-style hotels in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.

Apartment-scale rooms with a kitchenette in every one — light, a place to put the suitcases, room for everyone to not be on top of each other. Our rooms are usually largest rooms in the category, in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.

ORI delivers the space of an apartment, the ease of a hotel and English-speaking staff ready to help you with recommendations and reservations.

Minami-Ikebukuro, Tokyo

ORI Ikebukuro

Coming soon

45 square meters and two walls of windows, in south Ikebukuro.

Minami-Ikebukuro is residential — the Mejiro-and-Zoshigaya side of the station, not the busy stretch to the north. Otome Road and Sunshine City are a few blocks off; Rikkyo University and its café-and-bookshop streets sit just past them. Rooms are 45 m² with floor-to-ceiling windows on two walls, a kitchenette, and a washer/dryer in every unit. A staffed front desk (not 24/7) handles the harder asks — including making a restaurant reservation in Japanese.

ORI Rokkaku room with kitchenette and tatami

Horikawa, Kyoto

ORI Rokkaku

Central Kyoto, two streets off Karasuma — with tatami if you want it.

The Rokkaku area is central Kyoto’s machiya-and-small-streets layer — shrines between the houses, next to the tourist circuit without being it. Nishiki Market, the Karasuma-Oike core, and the Pontocho-and-Kamogawa river edge are all walkable. Rooms run 25–35 m² with a kitchenette; the Tatami 35D+ adds tatami floors, a low table, and futon. Staff will make the restaurant reservation and the Japanese-language phone call for you — ask at the front desk.
